High style, interesting edge and functional beauty are the hallmarks of Jaclyn Christensen’s interior design work, a practice dedicated to modern, inviting spaces that express her clients’ individuality and enhance their lives. All her interiors, whether luxury new-builds or remodels for growing families, are exquisitely curated and share a timeless, collected sensibility.

For Jaclyn, a life in interiors is less a career choice than a passion she can’t resist. “I’ve always seen the world through the lens of art and design,” the Bay Area native says of her early calling. After formal studies in interior design, she began her training at Backen Gillam Architects where she gained a foundation in best practices and honed her superb attention to detail, scale and proportion.

The significance of approachable design and eclectic, creative sourcing were the takeaways from Jaclyn’s experience as Design Director at IDF Studio. There she curated environments at once artful and practical, including the listing-themed kitchens and meeting rooms at Airbnb’s San Francisco headquarters. She notes, “It’s all about the mix and ensuring everything is life-proof.”

Jaclyn is big on thoughtful use of saturated color and pattern over neutral palettes. Materiality is another focus, especially her knack for layering textiles and animating spaces with texture. The designer’s greatest skill, however, is her genuine empathy for clients and ability to see through their eyes. Fun, collaborative and flexible, she brings nearly 15 years of experience to her full-service firm, established in January of 2020.

Over her career, Jaclyn has designed projects featured in ElleDécor.com, Luxe Interiors + Design, California Home + Design, Interiors California and SFC&G (Cottages & Gardens), among other publications; her inspired approach to kitchen design, in particular, has received national awards and recognition.
